Di Cesare Sr., Joseph, 78, of Bayonne passed away peacefully at Bayonne Medical Center on Tuesday May 25th, with his family by his side. Joseph was an Owner/Operator of Rib & Bib Restaurant in Berkeley Heights for many years and worked in many other places; a bartender at Massa Bar in Bayonne, Dice Bros Painting Co. in Bayonne and many Refinery Businesses. Joseph was the Life of the Party no matter where he went, his big smile, his stories and most of all his jokes made people laugh and smile.
Joseph was a beloved husband to Judy (nee:Fischer), a loving father to Joseph Jr., and his wife Diane, and to Richard Di Cesare. A cherished grandfather to Francesca, Julia, Nina and David. A dear brother to Marie Folger and her husband Jim. He is also survived by his sisters in law Kathleen and Lynn and many nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his parents John and Madeline (nee:Massa) Di Cesare, and his brothers John and David.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 1st from 3:00 to 7:00pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd, Bayonne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday June 2nd at 10:45am, at St. Henry's Church, Bayonne. Cremation to follow will be private. Family and friends are welcomed to the funeral home on Wednesday June 2nd beginning at 9:45am, prior to mass. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joseph's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to Deborah Hospital Foundation.
