Obituary

Joe DiPietro passed away unexpectedly at 3:48 a.m., Monday, April 18, 2016, comforted by his loving wife Diana, of 47 years.

He was the only son of Louise and Joseph DiPietro, Sr., who preceded him in death, as well as a sister, Camil who passed away in 1954.

Mr. DiPietro is survived by his wife, Diana DiPietro and two sisters, Lisa Pascarello and Patricia DiPietro.

Joe was also the "fun" uncle and sage advisor to his nieces and nephews, Michael Pascarello and Tammy, Darren and Keith Pogoda.

Joe was born in Bayonne, NJ, September 10, 1946 and grew up to be an accomplished man.

He graduated Bayonne H.S. and attended Lee College.

Those who knew him were very aware that his wit and intellect surpassed his formal education.

After a remarkable 3-month courtship, he and Diana were married in 1968.

They became a dedicated "unit" together in everything.

They had a love that cannot be measured by just years but in the depth of their memories together.

If Joe were to be asked his favorite song:

it would be Diana, his favorite color; it would be Diana and his favorite food; again...Diana.

In 2001 after 32 yrs., Joe retired from his career as an Engineering Tech with Exxon Mobil in Bay Town, TX.

Joe & Diana spent some of the Exxon Mobil career in Benicia, CA refinery and a stint in Saudi Arabia.

After 2001, Joe spent a good deal of time in Panama City Beach perfecting his meatballs, homemade sausage and mouthwatering sauce with mushrooms and onions.

Born: September 10, 1946 Death: April 18, 2016

We will remember Joe, as an avid storyteller for whom there was no audience with whom he could not speak knowledgeably and entertainingly on any topic.

His wit, acumen and quick humor will be sorely missed.

Everyone with whom he was a relative, friend or co-worker in his 69 years on this earth will deeply miss Joe.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 11:00 am. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 1214 Moylan Rd., Panama City Bch., FL.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2016, with Rosary being said at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to M.D. Anderson Hospital in memory of Joe:
