Joey passed away on March 13th, 2014. He was one of 6 children born to Charlene Edwards (nee: Glover) and the late Grover Edwards Sr. He was born on January 5, 1964 in Jersey City, N.J. and was a life long resident of Bayonne, N.J. He was the owner of J & M Flooring. Joey's mentoring skills impacted so many youth. He dedicated himself to all who needed him. Joey entered into all the youth programs with dedication and unselfishness. He was employed through the years with several organizations, such as YEP of N.J., Integrity House of Newark, N.J.; New Jersey Mentor Program and Community Access. He was also the V.P. of Bayonne youth football and a coach for Marist football. He leaves to mourn his mother Charlene, his siblings, Grover Jr, Renee, Colin Michael and Scott (Joyce) Edwards. Dear uncle of Billena, Precious, Alyssa, Raven, Colin, Khalil and Chelsea. Great uncle of Jada, Olivia, Nicholas and Noah. Several aunts and uncles and many cousins. His loving friend Robin Pugh and his lifetime friend Felicia Bates and family along with a host of many friends. Visitation will be Monday March 17th, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home (at 33rd)., Bayonne. A service will be held on Tuesday March 18th at 10:00am also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joey's memory to the Hackensack Cancer Center, envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
