Joseph Castagna III – of Toms River, formerly of Bayonne, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday February 16 ^th 2022, he was 68.  Born in Bayonne, NJ,  Joseph worked for many years as a carpenter before eventually retiring.  He was the devoted husband to the late Kathleen Castagna (nee: Toye), the beloved father to Tabitha Castagna, Mary Ann Castagna, Jason Lupo and wife Cristen, Kimberly Laski and husband Todd & to Steven Lupo, and grandfather to Karriem Royster, Joseph Laski, Jaleni Castagna, Izayah Royster, Todd Laski Jr., Zechariah Castagna, Gianna Laski, Colin Lupo & Luke Sloane.  Joseph was pre-deceased by his parents Joseph Jr. and Mary (nee; Sciani) Castagna and surviving him are his siblings Anthony Castagna and Lucille Jackowski and a whole host of other loving family members and dear friends.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 23 ^rd from 10:30am – 12:30pm with a prayer service to be celebrated towards the end of visitation.  Interment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.   In lieu of any flowers the family requests donations be made in Joseph's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital with a direct link that can be found here on his obituary page.
