Obituary

Josephine De Asio – a lifelong resident of Bayonne passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 15 th 2022, she was 91.  Josephine worked as a seamstress at Maidenform for many years before her retirement and was an active parishioner at the former Assumption Church, a member of The Golden Agers and an avid fan of old movies, especially those with her idol Bette Davis.  Josephine was pre-deceased by her parents Gabriel & Teresa, as well as her brothers; Vincent, Dominick & Gennaro and her two sisters Carol Trepko & Tessie Tricarico.  Josephine is survived by her beloved nephew Edward Trepko and his partner Deb Mattia, her great niece Alicia Reed and her best friend Joan Caputo, as well as a host of other loving family members and dear friends.  Visitation will be held on Monday February 21 st from 3-7PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33 rd St.) in Bayonne.  A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday February 22 nd at 10:30AM at St. John Paull II Parish, 29 E. 22 nd St. in Bayonne, with all welcome to gather at the funeral home starting at 9:30AM.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
