Kenneth "Skip" Upenieks – of Bayonne passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side on Friday December 21st 2018, he was 74. Born in Brooklyn NY, Skip served his country proudly in the US Army and later worked as a plumber for many years, as well as owning and operating Herbert's Army/Navy Store in Bayonne with his beloved and devoted wife Maria (nee: Provenzano) Upenieks. Skip was pre-deceased by his brother Dennis and surviving him are his granddaughter Erica Calders, his brother Robert, his sisters Joyce & Wendy, his father in-law Joseph Provenzano Sr., brothers in-law Louis Provenzano and wife Jane and Joseph Provenzano Jr. and a host of other loving family members and close friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 26thfrom 3-7 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rdSt.) in Bayonne. A funeral prayer service will be celebrated on Thursday December 27that 11:45 AM at the funeral home with everyone welcome to gather there starting at 11AM. Entombment with military honors will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
