Kushnir, Laura (née:Bellomo) 61, of Bayonne passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 18th at the Bayonne Medical Center. Laura was born in Calascibetta, Sicily, Italy and has lived in Bayonne for many years.  She worked as a teacher in the Union City School System for many years. Laura was a devoted daughter to Carmela (née:Vaccaro) and the late Francesco Bellomo, a beloved wife to the late Richard, a loving mother to Frank and his wife Jennifer and to Michael Kushnir. A cherished grandmother to Braeburn and Gabriel and a dear sister to Maria Bellomo-Dockx and her husband Steve. She is also survived her cousin Marie Scharff, her aunts Pietra Morgan and her husband Michele, her aunt Concetta Bruno and her uncle Louis Vaccaro. Her brother in law John Kushnir and his wife Sharon. Her nieces and nephews Joseph and Vincent Dockx, Krysta and Alexander Scharff, Phyllis Motyka and her husband Matthew and to Christopher Marc, Jr, and Daniel Kushnir.

Visitation will be held on Thursday August 26th from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd, Bayonne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday August 27th at 10:45am at St. Henry's Church, Bayonne. Entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Family and friends are welcomed to the funeral home on Friday beginning at 9:45am, prior to mass. In lieu of flowers donations in Laura's memory may be made to the St. Judes Children's Hospital, with envelopes provided at the funeral home, or through a link on our website.
