BUONACQUISTA, Lena (nee:Palmisano) of Bayonne, passed away peacefully on Friday July 12th at the Bayonne Medical Center. Lena was born in Bayonne where she met her husband Sam Battaglia, who passed away in 1962. They were the proprietors of Battaglia's Hobby Shop on 17th Street and Avenue C in Bayonne. Lena was also a beloved wife to her husband the late Albino Buonacquista. Lena was a loving mother to her daughter Susanne and her husband Michael Ciano, and to her son Salvatore and his wife Theresa. Cherished grandmother to Michael Salvatore Ciano, Peter Joseph Ciano and his wife Diane, Suzannah Leigh Hiles and her husband Todd, Judith Battaglia and David Battaglia and his wife. Great grandmother to Isabella Grace Ciano and Peter Ronald Ciano who were the joy of her life. Dear sister to Ralph Palmisano and his wife Margie, and to Teresa Jones. Lena was also predeceased by her parents Ralph and Theresa (nee:Appice) Palmisano, and her siblings Julia Palmisano, Mary Dziedzic, Juliette Zervoulis, Virginia DeCunzo and Gloria Carballo. Visitation will be today Monday July 15th from 3:00 to 7:00pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd, at (33rd St.) Bayonne. A mass will be offered on Tuesday July 16th at 9:45am at St. Andrew's Church, Bayonne. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
