Leonardo Cupo - of Bayonne passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and children on Tuesday, October 14th 2014. He was 82 years old. Born in Palomonte, Provincia di Salerno, Italy, he was the eldest child of Leonardo and Domenica (nee: Risa). At age 15 Leonardo bravely immigrated and found opportunity and love in Jersey City. Leonardo was a barber by trade and worked proudly as a machine operator at Colgate-Palmolive Company. For 60 years Leonardo was the devoted husband of Frances (nee: Aloi). He was the beloved father of and inspiration to Dr. Leonard (Lanie), Ida Marie Galietti (Mario), Donna Lenzo (Mark) and Gina Cupo-Corrado. Leonardo was the loving and playful grandfather to Leonard, Shelley, Anthony, Joseph, Lauren, Diana, Nicholas, Angela, Dominic and Joseph and great grandfather to Keiko, Charlize, Zoey, Kaia and Violet. Leonardo was pre-deceased by his sister in-law Assunta Cupo and survived by his brother Giuseppe and sister Antoinette Kalem. He was also treasured by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday October 16th from 3-8 pm at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday October 17th at St. Andrew's Church, 145 Broadway (at 4th St.) in Bayonne with family and friends invited to meet at the funeral home beginning at 9 am. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Leonardo's memory to The Michael J.
