Liborio Ciancimino of Bayonne passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 15th, 2025 at the age of 86. He was born on February 25th, 1939, in the town of Ribera, Sicily, where he spent many years before immigrating to the United States.

Liborio is reunited in heaven with his cherished wife, Josephina, who predeceased him in 2022. Together, they shared over 40 years of love, laughter, and partnership. They created many fond memories, and their bond was a testament to true devotion.

He was a proud veteran of the Italian military, operating troop transporters, ambulances, and other heavy vehicles. He went on to became a skilled bricklayer, building a life for himself and his family with determination, hard work, and unwavering pride. His craftsmanship, dedication, and strong work ethic earned him the respect of many, and he was proud of the life he had built.

Liborio's love for soccer was unmatched. He was a loyal supporter of the Inter Milan team, always ready to cheer them on. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was enjoying a glass of wine, tending to the garden, or spending time with loved ones.  His life was marked by his generosity, his gentle spirit, and his warm smile.
Liborio was the beloved father to his son Joseph and his wife Maria, and to his son Nick and his wife Bridget. He leaves behind his granddaughter, Maureen, who brought him immense joy, and his soon-to-be born grandson, Leonardo. He will also be greatly missed by his many loving nieces, nephews, and family members both near and far. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
May he rest in peace, reunited with the love of his life.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st from 4-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 22nd at St. John Paul II Parish (Mt. Carmel Church), 39 E. 22nd St. in Bayonne with everyone welcome to gather at the funeral home starting at 9:30 AM.  Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington.
