Lucille Ann DeMaria (nee Travelino) - a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday December 21st 2024. Born to Rose and Thomas Travelino, Lucille was a graduate of Bayonne High School and worked as a Secretary for Liberty Paper and the Hudson County Administration Office. Lucille volunteered at St.Andrew's School for many years when her children were students there. She took wonderful care of her parents and her family. Lucille is survived by her devoted husband of over 60 years, Dominic, her daughters Debra (Alan) and Laura (Jim) and her son, Michael (Elisha) and her grandchildren Micayla, Ashley, Gabrielle, Alan, Cameron and Gabriel. She is also survived by her sister Candita (Dee Dee) Nunez and many nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends. Lucille was predeceased by her parents, Rose Delia and Thomas Vincent and her brother Anthony (Nino) Travelino.
Lucille's most memorable times were spent with her family. She loved cooking wonderful Italian meals(especially for the holidays),spending a day at the beach, traveling to DisneyWorld and ltaly, and going to the fitness center and The Broadway Shows of NYC. Her favorite part of the day was watching General Hospital and having a cup of tea. Lucille had many talents including dance, ceramics and cooking the most incredible meals. She was always kind, always generous and always loving. The greatest blessings of Lucille's 82 years were her loving husband, her adoring children and her precious grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kind and supportive nature and unconditional love.
Private services for Lucille will be held at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 JFK Blvd.(at 33rd St.) in Bayonne on Saturday morning 12/28/2024. A Funeral Mass with ALL welcome to attend, will be celebrated on Saturday, December 28th at 10:45 am at St. Henry's Church, 645 Avenue C, Bayonne with interment to follow at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lucille's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
