Luz Muniz - of Bayonne passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 23, 2025, she was 69.  Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Luz worked as a chef for most of her life before retiring.  She was the devoted mother to Sandra Santos (Ed) and Xiomara Santos (David) and the beloved grandmother to Jeremy Vargas (Kaitlyn), Tyra Cruz (fiance' Henessey), Davis Ortiz Jr. & Alanis Cruz; with one great grandchild "on the way".  Luz was pre-deceased by her siblings Walter Mirabal, Pedro Rentas & Jacquel Muniz and surviving her are her siblings Rosa Muniz, Abraham Muniz, Nelson Muniz (Vilma) & Mario E. Muniz (Wilma), as well as a whole host of other loving family members and dear friends.  Visitation for Luz will be held on Saturday January 3rd 2026 from 4-8PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne.  A private cremation will follow.
