Lydia Montes (nee: Rivera) - 68, of Bayonne, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.  Lydia had a contagious laugh that was sure to make you smile. Beautiful, smart, nurturing, and loving, Lydia was a mother to all. She was an amazing cook and took great pride in taking care of her family.

Surviving Lydia are her loving husband Juan, her four daughters, Sandra Rivera, Mayra Ransom, Gisela Montes and Yajaria Montes. She was an amazing grandmother filled with so much love to her six grandchildren Raul Baez, Jean Carlos Mercado, Carlo Dobles, Arianna Ransom, Jonathan Ransom, Jean Marcos Mercado and two great grandchildren, Yovanka Baez and Yared Baez. Lydia is also survived by her six sisters Luisa Rivera, Elba Rivera, Leida Rivera, Santa Rivera, Elena Rivera and Daisy Ostolaza.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 17th from 4 to 8 PM at the Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd at (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday August 18th at 11 AM at St. Vincent's Parish, 979 Avenue C in Bayonne, with all welcome to gather at the funeral home starting at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
