Madeline DeNicola (nee Papaccio), age 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2023. Born at home on July 18, 1927, to Lucy and Biaggio Papaccio in Bayonne NJ.

Madeline was a child of the depression and grew up in a large, loving Italian immigrant family. A graduate of Bayonne HS, Madeline married Martin DeNicola and together they ran Owl Cleaners, a family-owned tailoring and dry-cleaning business, for 50 years. She loved New York City where she could often be found enjoying day trips for shopping and shows.

Madeline was predeceased by her husband, Martin; her brothers Nicholas (Jean), Nunzio (Amelia), Biaggio "Billy" (Barbara) Pasquale "Pat" (Theresa), Vincent (Angelina), Philip Papaccio and sister, Carmela (Michael) Mastopietro; as well as her son Frank (Diane), who passed away on October 25, 2023.

Surviving Madeline are her daughter and son, Nina Goffman and Philip (Maura) DeNicola; her cherished grandchildren, Alison and David (Nicole) Shipitofsky, Amy (Dan) Hickman, Matthew, Philip (Laura), Paul, Conor (Lauren), Lucia DeNicola and her fiancé, Jacob Love; and great-grandchildren, Jacob and Emily Shipitofsky, Philip, Ralph and Ruth DeNicola, Mia Hickman, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3rd from 10am – 12:30pm. at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, Bayonne. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in N. Arlington.
