Manuel Severo Peña of Bayonne, died on October 1st, 2020 at 91 years of age.
Señor Peña was born to Manuel Peña and Maxima Rosa Menendez of Havana, Cuba on August 8th, 1929.
He was born the second of 2 children, and remained close to his sister, Rosa, until her passing in 1995. He married his wife, Julia Medina in 1962.
Señor Peña emigrated from Cuba to the United States with his wife and son, Manuel in 1968, to provide a better life for his family. Following his arrival to the U.S., he had two more sons, Miguel and Nelson.
Señor Peña was employed by Garden State Container Corporation in Bayonne, and worked there for 28 years, until his retirement at age 63. He, his wife and son Manuel, made the decision to become American citizens in 1984.
Señor Peña enjoyed making others laugh, and loved nothing more than to be surrounded by Cuban food, laughter and the love of his family and friends.
Señor Peña is survived by his wife, Julia, his son, Manuel and wife, Valerie, his son, Miguel and wife, Susan, and his son, Nelson and wife, Heather. He has three grandchildren; his granddaughter Lauren, her husband, Nicholas, and his grandsons Alexander and David.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th from 10 am to noon at Migliaccio Funeral Home,
851 Kennedy Boulevard,
Bayonne, NJ.
Entombment will follow at
Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum,
North Arlington, NJ.
