Manuel Vazquez – of Bayonne passed away peacefully on Friday December 30 ^th 2022, he was 80.  Born in Newark, NJ, Manuel was an avid fisherman and member of The Robbins Reef Yacht Club.  He also served the community as Captain of The Bayonne Police Department for many years before his retirement.  He was the devoted husband to the late Geraldine (nee: Height) Vazquez, the beloved father to Denise Parella and her husband Robert and to Kim Vazquez and her husband Ian Lloyd.  Manuel was also the cherished grandfather to Thomas Manuel Daly (Michelle Hart), Justin Daly (Laila), Joseph Robert Parella (Shannon) & Emily Ann Shannon and the loving great grandfather to Maci Irene Daly, Teagan Gabrielle Daly & Reid Anderson Daly.  He is survived by his brothers Joseph Vazquez (Frances) & John Vazquez and a whole host of other loving family members and dear friends.  Visitation will be held on Monday January 2 ^nd from 4-8PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33 ^rd St.) in Bayonne.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Tuesday January 3 ^rd at St. Andrew's Church in Bayonne with all welcome to gather at the funeral home starting at 10AM.  Entombment will follow at Holy Name Mausoleum in Jersey City, NJ.
