Corasaniti, Maria Caterina (nee: Puja) "Nonna" - entered into eternal rest on Tuesday August 14, 2012 in Soverato, Italy with her loving family by her side. Maria's life was celebrated in Italy with a mass at Matrice di San Vito Martire Church. Maria was born on September 19, 1925 in San Vito, Italy to Nicola and Felicia Puja. She emigrated from Italy as a newlywed in 1950 and settled in Bayonne, NJ where she and her husband Ralph raised their family. She is survived by a large devoted family; including her husband Ralph, her six children Connie (Vito) Novembrino, Rose (Denis) Wilbeck, Vito (Joan) Corasaniti, Ralph (Laurie) Corasaniti, Anna (Walter) Stacey and Frank (Maureen) Corasaniti, her fourteen grandchildren, Melissa, Denis, Gianfranco, Nicholas, Caroline, Elise, Kathryn, Ralph, Michael, Adina, Dana, Joseph, Walter and Marc, her three great grandchildren, Colin, Gabriella and Victoria as well as her brother Umberto Puja and sisters-in-law Vincenza, Renata and Vittoria Puja, plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Maria was pre-deceased by her parents and her siblings Francesco, Vito, Giuseppe, Aurelio and Nicolina. Maria lived for her family and often put the needs of others before her own. She will be forever remembered for her strength, faith, warmth and loving kindness. Known affectionately as "Nonna" she will never be forgotten for her impeccable home cooked meals and delicious cookies, which she shared with one and all. A visitation will be held for Maria on Sunday August 26th from 3-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be held on Monday August 27th at 10:30 AM at Assumption Church, 91 W. 23rd St. in Bayonne with entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park. In lieu of any flowers the family asks that donations be made in Maria's memory to Our Lady of The Assumption Church.
