Maria Fernandez

FERNANDEZ, Maria (nee:Casais), 89, of Bayonne, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday March 17th, with her loving family beside her. Maria worked as a Seamstress for many years before retiring for the Casp Manufacturing Company in Bayonne. She was a beloved wife to the late Joseph, a loving mother to Robert and Joseph Jr and his wife Susan Eckert, and to Jackie and her husband Frank Sottile. A cherished grandmother to Heather Puchinsky (Travis), Robert Sottile (Gaby), Danielle Sangfield (Tim), and Allyson Blauvelt (James). A great grandmother to Jonah, Alaia and Milla Blauvelt, Cecilia and Nicoletta Sottile, and to Gaven and Riley Puchinsky. Maria was predeceased by her parents Antonio and Prescia (nee:Bermudez) Casais, and her siblings Jose Antonio Casais, Manuel Casais, Joaquina Beiro, Jack Casais, and Anna Hennessey.

Visitation will be held on Friday March 20th from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd, Bayonne, a prayer service will be offered at 11:30am at the funeral home. Interment to immediately follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
