INZITARI, Maria G., 73, of Bayonne passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 15th at the St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Maria was born in Arena, Calabria, Italy and immigrated to Bayonne in 1970 after marrying the love of her life. They raised their family in Bayonne for over 50 years.  Maria ran Maria's Daycare, caring for so many children for over 35 years. They all became part of her family. She was a woman full of devotion, dedication, generosity, and compassion. All that knew her shared the same sentiment. Maria never stopped doing and giving to others. Maria was also the recipient of the Unico Service Above Self Award. She truly was an angel among us. Maria was a beloved wife to the late Michele, a devoted daughter to Catuzza (nee:Pagano) and the late Bruno Michele Gerace, a loving mother to Joe Inzitari and his wife Victoria, Maria Kazimir and her husband Charles and to Cathy Galano and her husband Joe. Cherished nonna to Stephanie, Samantha and Kylie Galano, Brianna and Justin Hoffmann, and to Sophia and Siena Inzitari, and a loving nonna to all the children from her Daycare over the past 30 years. Dear sister to Raffaele Gerace and his wife Sonia. Sister-in-law to Dino Inzitari and his wife Gladys. Maria is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Maria was also predeceased by her brothers Michelangelo and Pino Gerace, her sister Stella Guerrisi and her husband Mimmo, her brother-in-law Frank Inzitari and his wife Rae, and her sister-in-law Annina Inzitari Galizia and her husband Peppino Galizia. Visitation will be held on Friday August 18th from 3:00 to 7:00pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd, Bayonne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday August 19th at 10:00am at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Mary's Church, Bayonne, with family and friends welcomed to the funeral home beginning at 9:00am. Entombment to follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, in honor of the annual Trike-a-Thon that Maria held with Maria's Daycare.
