Maria Mundell (nee Carbone), 84, of Bayonne, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 13, 1942, in Paolisi, Italy, Maria was a talented seamstress and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family and the many lives she touched throughout the years.

Maria was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry James Mundell Jr. She was the loving mother of Lisa (James) Burnett, Pauline (John) Murawski, Rosa (Jimmy) Mundell, and Susan (John) Squillante. She was the cherished grandmother of Julianna (Javi) Camacho, Victoria (Clint) Murawski, Cassandra Murawski, Valerie (James) Lloyd, Richard (Katelyn) Wood, Tina (John) Wood, Zachary Lopen, Samantha Lopen, and John Squillante Jr. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Anastacia Camacho, Travis Camacho Jr., Caleb Wood, Landon Wright, Ian Wright, Elodie Wood, Aria Wright, and Henry Wood. Maria was predeceased by her sisters, Angelina Saviello, Pasqualina Barone, and Rosa Liga. She is survived by her brother, Frank (Sandra) Carbone, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and dear friends. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, August 13, from 5:00–9:00 p.m. All are welcome to meet at the funeral home on Friday morning, August 14, at 8 a.m., prior to the Funeral Mass at St. Henry’s Church at 9 a.m. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
