Obituary
Maria Lucia Perrucci, 63 passed away peacefully on August 4, 2017 at Bayonne Medical Center. Maria was born in Bayonne and was a lifelong resident. She worked as a registered nurse for over 34 years. She worked at the Bayonne Medical Center and worked every floor and was the first Radiation nurse at the Lorraine M. LaPilusa Pavillon. She also worked as a school nurse at Bayonne High School.
Maria had an esteemed nursing career where she touched the lives of all she cared for. She was loved by all who knew her and will be remembered always for her unwavering positivity, kindness, and grace.
She was honored as a hero at Walter Robinson School for all the unselfish help she gave to others.
Maria was a avid gardener. She loved her flowers and planting vegetables. Maria enjoyed her
arts and crafts and spent many hours making gifts for family and friends.
Maria was the devoted daughter to Frank P. & Jean (nee: Baccarella) Perrucci and the loving sister to Frank C. Perrucci, Roseann Pona and husband Joe and to Linda Altebrando and husband Joe. Surviving Maria are her uncles John Baccarella and Vincent Perrucci, her nieces & nephews; Christie & Joey Pona and Michael, Jaclyn, Geena, Michele & Loryn Altebrando, her cat Babee and a host of other loving family members and dear friends. at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated on
Tuesday August 8th
at 10:45 AM
at St. Henry's Church, 89 W. 29th St. in Bayonne with all welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at
9:45 AM
. Entombment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City.
