Polera (nee: Piacente), Maria - 93, of Bayonne passed away at her residence with family by her side on November 23, 2013. Born in San Vito, Italy, Maria was an active member of the Assumption Church Golden-Agers and St. Ann's Society. She was the devoted wife to the late Vito and loving mother to Carolina Chiaravalloti and her husband Anthony and Guido and his late wife Patricia. Maria was the beloved grandmother to Anna Maillaro and husband Anthony, Carolina Rusnak and husband Kevin, Nick Chiaravalloti and wife Marleen and Jennifer Eventov and husband Dima. She was also great grandmother to Dana, Brandon, Jessica, Gabriela, Anthony, Gianna, Benjamin and Josh. Maria was pre-deceased by brother Francesco and parents Anthony & Rosa and is survived by her brother Vincenzo as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A visitation will be held on Tuesday November 26th from 4-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday November 27th beginning at 8:30 AM with a funeral mass commencing at 9:30 AM at Assumption Church 91 W. 23rd St. in Bayonne. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union NJ.
