SORBARA, Maria Antonia (nee:Gerace), 92, of Bayonne passed away peacefully yesterday January 16th at her residence. Maria was born in Arena, Italy and has lived in Bayonne for many years. Maria Antonia was a very simple woman, but was a very dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, but most of all she was a very good friend to all. She was a loving mother to Raffaele and his wife Maria L., Domenico and his wife Anna Maria and Grazio and his wife Gaetana. Also a loving mother in law to Marianna Sorbara. A cherished grandmother to Nicola, Antonietta, Maria Caterina, Giuseppina, Nicola, Nicole, Maria Giovanna, Domenico, Michelangelo, Nicola and Jullianna. Also a great grandmother to Loriana, Alessandro, Marco Michele, and Michele Salvatore. And a dear sister to Rosa Tedesco. Maria Antonia was predeceased by her beloved husband Nicola, her son Micele and her parents Raffaele and Maria Teresa Gerace. Also predeceased by by two brothers and one sister. Visitation will be tomorrow Friday January 18th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home. A mass will be offered on Saturday January 19th at 10:00am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Bayonne. Interment to follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Maria Antonia's memory to honor St. Padre Pio c/o Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
