SPANO , Maria I. (nee:Doria) 81, of Bayonne and Lanoka Harbor, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday December 15th. Maria was the Owner/Operator with her husband Vito of Spano's Deli in Bayonne for many years. Maria was a beloved wife to the late Vito, loving mother to Dominick (Cheryl Gebhardt ), and to Vito. Cherished grandmother to Rita, Danielle, Vito, Sofia, Sarah. A great grandmother to Emma. She was also predeceased by her parents Vito and Sofia (nee: Sianopolia )) Doria, her daughters Rosetta and Rita, and her grandson Dominick. Maria's family would like to thank all her loyal customers for their patronage at the Deli, and for everything people had done for her.
