Marion Sinopoli (nee: Cortese) 93, recently of Toms River, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Saturday May 17th 2014. Born in San Vito, Italy, Marion spent most of her life in Bayonne where she worked and was very active in Bayonne City Hall. Marion was the loving wife to the late Dominick and the cherished mother of Catherine King and husband Howard. Marion was also the most devoted grandmother to Denise Silvestrone and to Dennis King and wife Laura, as well as being beloved great-grandmother to Anthony & Emily Silvestone and to Connor, Stephanie & Aubrey King. Surviving Marion are her brother William "Bill" Cortese and wife Rina and sisters Mary Luceno & Teresa "Tessie" Fillipone; she was pre-deceased by her sister Antoinette Rossi. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 20th from 4-8 pm at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday May 21st at 10:30 am at Assumption Church, 91 W. 23rd St. in Bayonne with all invited to gather at the funeral home beginning at 9:30 am.
