BLACKSHAW, Mary Grace, (nee:Valenti) of Bayonne, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 2nd at her residence. Mary Grace worked as a waitress at the Colonette Diner in Jersey City for many years. She was a devoted daughter to Nicholas Valenti, a loving mother to Brian Blackshaw, James Cook Jr, Nicole Blackshaw, and Nathalie Cook. Cherished grandmother to Davonte Smith and Claudia Faith Blackshaw. Dear sister to Martin Valenti and his wife Josette, John Valenti and his wife Irene and Gloria Lentini and her husband Alfonso. She was also a special aunt to Alexandra, Alexa, Lance, Nicholas, Isabella and Matthew. Former wife of James Cook Sr. Mary Grace was predeceased by her mother Eleanor (nee: Marchitto), her first husband Walter "Buddy" Blackshaw Jr. and her brother Nicholas Valenti Jr. Visitation will be held on Friday October 5th from 2:00 to 4:00 and & 7:00 to 9:00pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home 851 Kennedy Blvd, (at 33rd) Bayonne. A mass will be offered on Saturday October 6th at 10:30am at St. Vincent's Church, Bayonne. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mary Grace's memory to her family. Envelopes are provided at the funeral home.
