DALESSIO, Mary K. – a resident of Bayonne passed away peacefully, in Hospice Care at a family home in Warren, N.J. on Sunday, July 30th, 2017. She was 70 years old. Born in Hoboken and raised in Newark, Mary graduated from Mt. Saint Dominic Academy in Caldwell and, Caldwell College. She earned a Masters Degree in Psychology and Counseling from Penn State University. Mary was a lifelong teacher, dedicating her life to Catholic Education and Parish Religious education programs at Saint Andrew and St. Mary Star of the Sea schools in Bayonne. In recent years, Mary tutored children and young adults assisting them to advance in school. Mary was a beloved sister to John Dalessio and his wife Kathie, Michael Dalessio and his wife Annette, Sister Elizabeth Dalessio, MPF, Joan Dalessio, and Therese Butler and her husband Thomas; a devoted friend to Pat Morris; and a loving cousin to Maria Giotis. Mary also leaves behind an extended family of loving nieces and nephews and their children, as well as many cousins and dear friends. Mary was predeceased by her parents, John and Grace (nee:Badaracco) Dalessio. A visitation will be held on Sunday August 6th from 2–6 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on August 7th at 11 AM at Blessed Miriam Teresa Demjanovich Parish at Saint Andrews Church, 125 Broadway, Bayonne, with all welcome to gather at the funeral home at 10 AM.
