PYTEL, Mary, 80, ofr Bayonne, passed away peacefully on Friday February 8th at the Jersey City Medical Center. Mary was the beloved daughter to the late Mary and her husband John Purdy and to the late Martin Pytel. Mary worked as a teacher for the Archdiocese of Newark in many schools, serving as a Principal for St. Michael's in Palisades Park, a teacher at St. Joseph's in Bayonne, St. Ambrose in Old Bridge, and St. Peter's, she also taught at Ferris in Jersey City. Mary was an active member for St. Henry's Bereavement Committee, a Girl Scout Leader and a CCD teacher at St. Joseph's. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Mary on Wednesday February 12th at 10:45am at St. Henry's Church, Bayonne. All those wishing to attend will meet directly at the church by 10:30am. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington.
