Matthew Patella, a lifelong resident of Bayonne, peacefully passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, at the age of 67, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband to Susan (nee: Dougherty) Patella and a beloved father to Mallory Bird (John), Matthew Patella (Stefani), Mark Patella (Jaimi), and his nephew John Patella (Ashley). He was also a cherished grandfather to Mason and Avery Bird and Olivia Patella.

Matthew was predeceased by his brother Daniel and is survived by his sister Rosemary "Missy" Patella, his brothers Christopher, Michael (Lisa), and Mark (Stacy) Patella, and many other loving family members and dear friends.

A memorial visitation for Matthew will take place on Sunday, January 5, from 1-4 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne, with a prayer service to be held toward the end of the viewing.
