Michael J. D'Amato - of Middletown, formerly of Bayonne, NJ, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday April 18th 2026, he was 93. Born in Jersey City, Michael was a graduate of St. Peter's College and worked as a CPA for many years before his retirement. Michael was the devoted husband to the late Julia (nee: Ceglio) D'Amato, the beloved father to Michael A. D'Amato and his wife Dawn, and was the cherished grandfather to Michael & Nicholas D'Amato. He was pre-deceased by his sister Evelyn Kudenchak and her husband George and surviving Michael are his sister-in-law Fran Catania and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. There will be a visitation for Michael on Tuesday April 21st from 4-8PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated for Michael at 11AM on Wednesday April 22nd at St. John Paul II Parish (Mt. Carmel Church), 39 E. 22nd Street in Bayonne, with all welcome to gather at the funeral home starting at 10AM. A private cremation will follow. In lieu of any flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Michael's memory to The American Cancer Society, which can be done directly by clicking on the link provided on this page.
