Michael William DeCarpentry - of O'Fallon, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on January 12, 2016, he was 33. Born in Bayonne, Michael studied computer programming at Southwestern Illinois College. He was a big sports fan, cheered for the New York Mets and enjoyed attending local area sporting events. Michael was a parishioner at St. Clare Catholic Church where he attended young adult gatherings and served as Eucharistic Minister and was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 4239 in O'Fallon.   Michael was a loving and loyal son, preceded in death by his father Donald William DeCarpentry and survived by his mother Mary DeCarpentry (nee: Kelleher).   Also surviving Michael are his special friend Meaghan Bovich, his paternal grandmother Artemia "Tina" DeCarpentry, his aunts Denise Ferreira, Carol Hennings and Michele Kelleher and his uncle Donald Kelleher Jr.

Visitation will be today, Tuesday January 19th from 2-4 pm and again from 7-9 pm at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne .   A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday January 20th beginning at 10:45 am at Bl. Miriam Teresa Church, 125 Broadway (at 4th St.) with all welcome to gather at the funeral home starting at 9:45am. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City.
