Obituary

Michael Mariano - passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday October 17th, 2011, he was 92 years old. A long time resident of Bayonne and an avid NY Yankee fan, Michael served his country as a Sargent in The U.S. Army during WWII in The Pacific Theatre, Burma and as a railroad engineer was responsible for the construction of The Burma Road. Michael was the Beloved husband of the late Daisy (nee: Nuccio), father to Anthony and his wife Laureen, Mario, Mari and her husband Dr. Merrill Jaffe and Frances Ranu and her late husband Frank. He was grandfather to Toniann, Nicolette, Tamar, Jonathan, Francis, Michelle, Michael and Kimberly and the great grandfather of Isabella. Also the loving brother of Ann and Mary and pre-deceased by sister Lucy, brothers Andrew and Joseph and his parents Mario and Frances. Visitation will be held today Wednesday, October 19th at The Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd at 33rd Street in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30am on Thursday, October 20th at St Michael's Church at 21 E. 23rd St in Bayonne. In lieu of flowers the flowers the family asks that donations be made in Michael's memory to The F.A. Mackenzie Post 165, checks may be sent in care of The CWV, 18 W. 23rd St, Bayonne, NJ 07002
