Michael Sabol – a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday January 26 th 2020, he was 71. Michael was a proud Vietnam Veteran of the US Army who was decorated with 2 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star among others. He then worked as a Bayonne Fireman for 22 years before retiring. Michael was the loving husband of 35 years to Maryann (nee: Melia) Sabol. He was pre-deceased by his parents George & Julia (nee: Lachman), his brothers George & Dennis, his sisters Valerie Bomba & Joyce Quigley, his in-laws Nicholas & Rose Melia, brother-in-law Carmen Melia & sister-in-law Beverly Sabol and his nephews Robert & Richard Bomba. Surviving Michael are his sisters-in-law Josephine Melia & Rosalie Avant (husband Tracy), his nephew Dennis Sabol Jr., nieces Roberta Davis, Michelle Giacinto & Seana Skees and a host of great nieces/nephews, cousins and dear friends. Visitation will be Wednesday January 29 th from 4-8PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at.33 rd St.) in Bayonne with a prayer service and military honors to be celebrated during the visit. A private cremation will follow.
