Michael L. Romano Sr. – a lifelong resident of Bayonne passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by loving family on Thursday May 3rd2018, he was 93. Michael was a decorated US Navy Veteran during WWII and was the devoted husband to the late Grace (nee: Scala) Romano. Michael was the beloved father to Barbara Tunnell (Jeff) and to Michael Romano Jr. (Mary) and was also the cherished grandfather to Christina DeGennaro (Marc), Alyssa Baran (Donald), Michael Romano & Lara Romano and was great grandfather to Dominic & Michael DeGennaro and Charlotte Baran. He was pre-deceased by his sisters Patricia "Beatty" Cutrona & Madeline Higgins and surviving Michael are his brother Ralph Romano (MaryJane) and a host of other loving family members and friends. Visitation will be Sunday May 6thfrom 4-7 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rdSt.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday May 7that St. Vincent's Church, 979 Avenue C in Bayonne with all welcome to gather at the funeral home starting at 10 AM. Interment with military honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in N. Arlington.
