Mikulas "Nick" Vira - of Bayonne, passed away on Thursday October 13th 2016, he was 72. Born in Litmanova, Slovakia, the son of the late Mikulas and Maria Vira, Nick was a resident of Bayonne for the past 20 years and worked as a Building Super in New York City for many years before retiring. He was the devoted husband to Anna (nee: Porada) and the loving father to Monica Vira and her late husband David Valle II, Maria Vira and her fiancé Michael Visone and Diana Grogan and her husband Gerard. Nick was also the cherished grandfather to Adilynn Harper Grogan. Nick was predeceased by his brothers, John & Andrej Vira and surviving him are Andrej's wife Olga Vira of Manville, NJ, his step-mother Maria Vira of Slovakia, his four brothers Vasil Vira and his wife, Anna, of Staten Island, N.Y., Michal Vira and his wife, Maria, of Bayonne, Ludovit Vira and his wife, Zdena, of Staten Island, N.Y., Milan Vira and his wife, Katarina, of Slovakia; two sisters, Madga Marticek and her husband, Imro, of Slovakia and Anna Rusinak and her husband, John, of Slovakia, as well as a host of other loving family members and dear friends. Visitation will be Tuesday October 18th from 4-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd Street.) in Bayonne, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday October 19th beginning at 10:30 AM at the Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 30 East 25th Street in Bayonne. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church in the morning. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
