On Monday, November 9, 2020, Mona L. Benedetto (nee: Tizzolino), beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away at the age of 69.

Mona was born on January 31, 1951 in Bayonne, NJ to Frank and Carolyn Tizzolino (nee: DiLorenzo). Mona was raised in Bayonne where she remained to raise her son, Scott. She spent 35 years as Executive Assistant to the Chairman of both AIG and Starr Companies.

Mona is predeceased by her parents, Carolyn and Frank; she is survived by her son, Scott; sister, Donna Marconi; niece and nephew, Lisa and Gary Garelick and great-nephews Jared and Noah Garelick.

Mona's proudest role was being a devoted mother to Scott. She loved spending time with family, enjoyed spending time with friends and traveling to her favorite destination, Italy, and dedicated much of her time to charitable fundraising. Mona was always smiling and will be remembered for her style, generosity and kindness. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Visitors will be welcomed on Saturday, November 14, 2020, 9-11:30am at Migliaccio Funeral Home, Bayonne, NJ.  Burial is private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to one of several charities: the Madeline Fiadini Lo Re Foundation, Friends of the Uffizi Gallery or The Lustgarten Foundation.  Envelopes available at the funeral home.
