Nazarena "Nancy" Alessi - of Bayonne, Passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by loving family on Wednesday February 1st 2023, she was 96.  Born in San Giovanni Gemini, Sicily, Nazarena worked as a seamstress at Maidenform for many years and was a Communicant at Our Lady of The Assumption Church in Bayonne.  Nazarena was the devoted sister to Salvatore Alessi and the beloved aunt to Lina Amato (Carmelo), the late Franco Amato (Fran Katusa), Emmanuela Alessi, Daniela Vergona (Robert), Sandra Russo (Carmine), Joseph Terrana (Kelly), Maria Terrana, Joseph Amato (Javier), Franco Amato (Kendra) and Eric Amato (Danielle).  Nazarena was pre-deceased by all her other siblings; Vincenzo Alessi, Frank Alessi, Carmelina Amato, Rosalie Terrana, Maria Papale & Rita Alessi and surviving her is a host of other loving family members and dear friends.  Visitation will be held on Saturday February 4th from 9-11AM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne followed by a funeral mass at St. John Paul II Church at 11AM and mausoleum entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union, NJ.   In lieu of any flowers, the family requests donations be made in Nazarena's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital through a direct link that can be accessed by clicking the "Memorial Donations" tab below this obituary.
