Obituary
Nicholas "Nick" Valenti passed away peacefully at his Bayonne residence on Monday, October 14th 2019 at the age of 95. A proud lifelong resident of his beloved Jersey City, Nick moved to Bayonne later in life. Nick was the loving husband to the late Eleanor (nee: Marchitto) Valenti and the devoted father to the late Nicholas "Nicky Boy" Valenti Jr., Gloria Lentini (Alfonse), the late Mary-Grace Blackshaw-Cook, John Valenti (Irene) and Martin Valenti (Josette). He was also the beloved grandfather to the late Nicole Blackshaw, Brian Blackshaw, Nathalie Cook (Caitlin), the late James Cook Jr., Alexandra & Lance Lentini, Alexa, Nicholas, Isabella & Matthew Nicholas Valenti and the great-grandfather to Davonté Smith and Claudia Blackshaw. Nick was pre-deceased by his siblings Genarro, Anthony (Della) and Joseph Valenti, Virginia Caddle, Teresa Esposito & Catherine Miele and surviving him are his sister Marion (James) Basile and a host of other loving family members and close friends. Visitation will be Thursday October 17th from 4-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 851 Kennedy Blvd. in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10AM on Friday October 18th at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 14 Greenville Avenue in Jersey City with all welcome to gather at the funeral home starting at 9AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
