Nicola "Nicky" Calamita - of Bayonne passed away unexpectedly with loved ones by his side on Saturday August 17th. 2019, he was 53.  Born in Bari, Italy, Nicky was a chef for many years and was the devoted husband to Elia "Nina" (nee: Callejas) Calamita and the loving father to Vito & Jorge Calamita.

Nicky was also the beloved brother to Lena Franco and her husband Izzy and to Grace Renteria and her husband David.  He was pre-deceased by his parents Guiseppe & Gaetanella (nee: Marone) Calamita and his brother Vito Calamita and surviving Nicky are his sister in law Betty, his nieces Jade Franco, Melanie Calamita and Gianna & Angelia Renteria, his nephews David Renteria Jr. and Joseph Calamita .

Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 20th from 2-7 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne with a funeral prayer service to be celebrated towards the end of the visit.  A private cremation will follow.

In lieu of any flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Nicky's memory to his wife Nina.  Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
