Onofrio "Charlie" Colabraro - of Bayonne, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Saturday, November 7th 2015 at the Pugliese Hospital in Catanzaro, Italy, he was 79 years old. Born in Olivadi, Italy to Catarina and Carmine Colabraro, Onofrio lived most of his life in Bayonne where he worked for the Bayonne City Water Dept. for over 28 years before retiring as a supervisor. In his spare time Onofrio enjoyed gardening, making his own wine and especially, time spent with his family, whom he cherished.  His favorite destination was his hometown of Olivadi, Italy where he and his wife Adelina would tend to their beautiful orchard. Onofrio was the devoted husband to Adelina (nee: Catanzariti) and the loving father to Domenico Colabraro and his wife Marcianna (nee: Siminsky) of Bayonne, Clementina Paradine of Bayonne and Giuseppe Colabraro and his wife Josephine (nee: Burke) of Chatham, NJ.  Onofrio was also the beloved grandfather to Joseph Colabraro, Adelina Colabraro, Shane Paradine, Caitlyn Colabraro, Jack Colabraro, Ryan Colabraro, Aidan Paradine, and Lauren Colabraro. He was pre-deceased by his sister Immaculata Colabraro and surviving Onofrio are his brothers Anthony Colabraro and his wife Christine and Joseph Colabraro and his wife Michele, as well as a host of other loving relatives and dear friends both here and in Italy. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 30th 2015 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 John F. Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday December 1st beginning at 9:30 am at Assumption Church, 91 W 23rd St in Bayonne with all welcome to gather at the funeral home starting at 8:30 AM.  Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery/Mausoleum in North Arlington, NJ. In lieu of any flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Onofrio's memory to Children's Lightning Wheels and sent to Children's Specialized Hospital, Attn: Trisha Yurochko, 150 New Providence Road, Mountainside, NJ 07092, envelopes will be made available at the funeral home or a link can be found on Onofrio's obituary page at www.MigliaccioFuneralHome.com where condolences may also be passed along to the family.
