IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pamela Diane
Castaldo
March 6, 1942 – December 20, 2025
Pamela Diane Castaldo (nee: Grazul), lovingly known as Pam, passed away on December 20, 2025, in Bayonne, New Jersey, at the age of 83. A lifelong resident of Hudson County, Pam was born to Felix and Julia Grazul on March 6, 1942, in Jersey City. She grew up on Ege Avenue, where she was raised alongside her siblings and built strong family values that guided her life. She attended Snyder High School and shared thoughtful memories of navigating the city alone from a young age.
Pam met her beloved husband of 65 years, Jerry F. Castaldo, at the "Bayonne Pool" as teenagers, and together they built a full and meaningful life—first on 50th Street and later on East 34th Street in Bayonne. Their years were spent growing a family, running a family business, enjoying many summers at the Jersey Shore, traveling the world, and volunteering with their social groups. For many years, their home was never quiet—often filled with conversation, grandchildren, one of their many dogs, and the sounds of family coming and going. It will always be a place where traditions were shared over Christmas Eve dinners and birthdays, and where you could stop by to sit at the kitchen table for a chat, have something to eat, and feel as though everyone (family or not) was welcome.
Pam's greatest joy was her family. She was considered a saint, serving as a devoted mother to her children: Jerry Castaldo, Jr., Keith Castaldo and his wife Carolyn, and Tara Castaldo. She was a loving grandmother to Melissa Carlton and her husband Christopher, Gerald Castaldo and his wife Lindsey, Jonathan Castaldo and his fiancée Ashley, Michael Castaldo and his fiancée Sarah, Keith Castaldo, Lauren Castaldo, and Allison Castaldo. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Jack, Parker, Cameron, and Madelyn, each of whom brought incredible joy to her life.
For many years, Pam served as a Legal Secretary for the Hudson County Public Defender's Office in Jersey City. There, she built a lasting friendship with her dearest friend, Jeanette Camacho. Jeanette's children, Carlos and Jenna, were like family to her.
Pam is also survived by her siblings: Donna Grazul, Michelle Grazul, Valerie Kuhn (Vincent), and Marie Gates (Jack); her sister-in-law Rita Castaldo; and many loving nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close. Pam was predeceased by her sister, Constance O'Connor (née Grazul); her brother-in-law, Carmen Castaldo; and her sister-in-law, Dolores Castaldo.
Pam will be remembered for her strength, kindness, generosity, warmth, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her memory lives on with her husband, children, grand- and great-grandchildren, as well as the many chosen family members she welcomed through her lifetime. She (along with her hugs and meatballs) will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
As per her wishes, Pamela was privately cremated. However, a celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday December 23rd from 4-8PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be then be celebrated for Pam on Wednesday December 24th at 12PM noon at St. Vincent's Church, 979 Avenue C in Bayonne. All those attending the mass are asked to meet directly at the church on Wednesday, as there will be NO services held at the funeral home on that day.
In lieu of any flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Pam's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, which can be done directly by clicking the "Memorial Donation" tab below this obituary.
