Patrick (Pasquale) Papaccio, born in Bayonne to Lucia and Biagio Papaccio, he was 93 years old. He passed away peacefully on Friday August 26th,2016. Pat was a WWII Veteran, disabled Life Member of the American Legion Post 19, Captain P.J. Hogan Disabled War Veterans.
Pat served for many years as Chairman of the Boy Scout Troop #27, Assumption Church. He was the recipient of Catholic Scouting's "Pelican Medal" from the Newark Archdiocese. He retired from the General Food Corp. Division of Maxwell as a Senior Research Tech. after 33 years of service. He was married for 70 years to the former Teresa Iazzetta.
To cherish his memory are his 3 sons, Blaine (Lynne), James (Anne Marie), and Patrick (Kate). Pat had a special bond with his only granddaughter Jane (Brian) Edwards. He is survived by his to pals , grandson Joe Papaccio and great grandson Tim Edwards, his sister Madeline De Nicola, and brothers Vincent and Philip Papaccio, sister-in-law Maria De Vente, Madeline Iazzetta, and Mrs Carlo Iazzetta. Predeceased by his brothers Nicholas, Nunzio, Biagio, and his sister Carmela Mastropietro.
Visitation will be held Monday August 29th, from 3:00 to 8:00pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd, Bayonne. A funeral mass will be offered on Tuesday August 30th, at 9:30am at St. Henry's Church, Bayonne. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
