WINTERS, Paul E., 79, of Bayonne, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 25th at the Hackensack University Medical Center, in Hackensack. Paul worked as a pipefitter for the Western Electric Co. and as a painter for At&T Co. for many years before retiring. Paul served his country proudly in The United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Marine Corps League of Bayonne, also serving as their Chaplin and received the 4 Chaplains Award from the Marine Corps League. Paul was also a member of the VFW in Bayonne and served as an usher and past president of the Holy Name Society at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Bayonne. Paul was a beloved husband to Angelina "Angie" (nee: Feula), a loving father to Paul M. and his wife Anne Marie, Michael and his wife Jill, and to Patricia Hosmer. Cherished grandfather to Rebecca Hosmer, Megan, Andy, Natalie, and Paul Winters. He is also survived by many nieces, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Helen (nee:Whalen) Winters, and his brother Raymond.
Visitaiton will be on Sunday August 28th from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home 851 Kennedy Blvd (at 33rd), Bayonne. A mass will be offered on Monday August 29th at 10:45am at St. Henry's Church, Bayonne. Interment to follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City, with military honors. Family and friends are welcomed to the funeral home beginning at 9:45am on Monday before mass. In lieu of flowers donations in Paul's memory may be made to his Grandchildren's Education Fund.
