Peter J. Varsalona – of Bayonne passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side on Sunday April 26 ^th 2020, he was 71.  Born in Jersey City, Peter served his country proudly as a US Marine during the Vietnam War, he later became an attorney and worked for many years as a Chief Municipal Prosecutor for Jersey City before retiring.  He was the devoted husband to Deborah (nee: Gerena) Varsalona and beloved father to Elise Taylor (Sean), Lia Skibniewski (Kamil), Peter Varsalona (Caitlin) & Laura Alfieri (Andrew); as well as being the cherished grandfather to Sean, Renae, Emma & Ryan Taylor, Maddox Bouquio, Ella & Mia Skibniewski and Giovanni & Christian Alfieri.  Peter was pre-deceased by his daughter Renae Varsalona and surviving him are his siblings Eugene Varsalona & Judy Guerra and a host of other loving family members and dear friends.  Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, all services held were private.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Peter's memory to The Alzheimer's Association with a link that can be found on Peter's obituary page at www.MigliaccioFuneralHome.com .
