DeSimone, Raffaela "Rae" (nee: Russo) - of Bayonne, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday March 6, 2013, she was 88 years old. Born in Staten Island, NY Rae was the devoted wife of the late Charles DeSimone and was the loving mother to Anna Marie Gillespie and her husband Patrick and to the late Peter DeSimone Rae was also the cherished grandmother to Amy, Brian and David Sclafane and David's wife Jamie and to Denise, Joseph and Peter DeSimone as well as being great grandmother to Jack and Juliet Sclafane. Rae is survived by her sisters Jean Buonviaggio, Ann Smith and her husband Ed as well as her brother-in-law Patsy DeSimone and her former son-in-law Charles Sclafane and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rae was pre-deceased by her parents Louis and Anna Russo. A visitation will be held on Sunday March 10th from 2-4 PM and again from 7-9 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 11th at 10 AM at St. Vincent's Church, 979 Avenue C (at 47th St.) in Bayonne with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
