LIGA, Rosa (nee:Carbone), 67, of Bayonne passed away peacefully on Thursday February 14th at Bayonne Medical Center, with her family and friends by her side. Rosa worked as a hairdresser/owner for many years at Crowning Touch and also Nu-Image Salons. She loved volunteering at the Bayonne Little League, where she met many people whom she considered her extended family. She was a beloved wife to the late Andrew Jr., a loving mother to James Liga and his wife Debbie, Maria Kiniery and her husband Neal Sr. and to Helen Hanson and her husband Bruce. Cherished grandmother to Heather Hanson and her fiance, Gino Fiori, Brandon Hanson, Neal Kiniery Jr., Nicolas Kiniery, Marianna Kiniery, Kayla Liga and Katie Liga . Dear sister to Francesco Carbone and his wife Sandra, Maria Mundell and her husband the late Henry, and her sister in law Helen Liga. Rosa was especially fond of her niece Christina Daly and her children Rebecca and Michael, with whom she treated as her own daughter and grandchildren."Sweet Aunt Rosa" is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, especially her dear friends Josie Smyczynski and Barbara Paladino. Rosa was also predeceased by her parents Vincenzo and Elisabetta (nee: Bellome) Carbone, her grandson Patrick Kiniery, and her sisters Angelina Saviello (Michael), and Pasqualina Barone.

(at 33rd St.), Bayonne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday February 21st at 10:00am at St. John Paul II Church (Our Lady of Mt. Carmel), Bayonne. Family and friends are invited on Thursday to the funeral home beginning at 9:00am prior to mass. Interment to follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of ANY flowers donations may be made in Rosa's memory to either St. Judes Childrens Hospital or to the Veterans Fisher House Foundation. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
