Barberio, Rose (nee: Giaimo) - of Bayonne passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday June 22nd 2013, she was 98 years old. Born in Hoboken, Rose was the devoted wife of the late John Barberio and the loving mother to Diana Magonia and her late husband Anthony. Rose was also the cherished grandmother to Dawn Micewicz (Glen), Patrice Lang (Henry) & Anthony Magonia; great grandmother to Blaise Micewicz, Anthony Sage Magonia, Kelly & Kristen Sturdy-Lang and Brandon & Bryan Lang; and great great grandmother to Teghan & Sophia Sturdy-Lang. Rose is survived by her nieces & nephews: Constance Madia (Joe), Palma Visconi, Carl Giaimo, William Giaimo (Laura), David Giaimo & Lisa O'Hara and was pre-deceased by her siblings Sadie Thomas and Anita, Sam, Thomas & Charles Giaimo. There will be NO visitation at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday June 27th at 9:30 AM at Assumption Church, 91 w. 23rd St. in Bayonne with all mourners to meet directly at the church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
