Barbero, Rose (nee: Pasquale) - passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday July 1st, she was 84. A lifelong resident of Bayonne and the devoted wife of Carl Barbero, she owned and operated Carl & Rose's Deli for 50 years with her husband. Rose was the beloved mother of Susan DePalma and her husband Frank, Josephine Romangno and her late husband John, Rose Wickersty and her husband Jules, Ernest and his wife Marie and Joseph and his wife Giovanna. She was the loving grandmother to Jeffery and Keith Wickersty, Jolene Bergantino and her husband Nick, Carlene Makowski and her husband Keith, Christopher Barbero, Nicole Huthwaite and her husband Jordan and to Rose Romangno, as well as being the beloved great-grandmother of Sandro Robert Bergantino and Joseph Carlo Makowski. Rose is survived by her sister Theresa Lamberti and her husband Walter as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins and was pre-deceased by her brothers Joseph, Anthony, Angelo, John and James Pasquale. A visitation will be held on Monday July 2nd from 4-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday July 3rd at 10:30 AM at Assumption Church, 91 W. 23rd St. in Bayonne with entombment to follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
