DiMeglio, Rose (nee: Natalizio) - of Bayonne passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday January 1, 2013, she was 88 years old. Born in Bronx, NY, Rose was the devoted wife of Frank DiMeglio. Frank was a young soldier when Rose met him at the Army offices on Church St. in NY, where he pinched her on the cheek and told her, "I'm going to marry you," which he did one year later when he returned from overseas as a decorated soldier. Rose was also the beloved mother of Maryann Gerbacia and her late husband Philip Greenhaus and Frances DeStefano and her husband William. Rose was also the cherished grandmother of George, Jeanine and her husband Eddie, Natalie and her husband Erik, and Michele, as well as her three great grandchildren. Rose was also a very active member of the Bergen Point Club where she was Treasurer, The Leisure Hour Club, the Golden Agers, and The Sons of Italy where she was a Vice-President. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 4th from 2-4 PM and again from 7-9 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 5th at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 91 W. 23rd St. in Bayonne with all mourners meeting directly at the church.
