Rose Doherty (nee: Abate) - of Bayonne passed away peacefully on Monday April 6th 2015, she was 83. Rose was the devoted wife of the late John Doherty. Loving mother to Kevin and wife Donna, John, James and loving companion Karen and Brian and wife Marjo. Rose was also the beloved grandmother to Jack, Thomas, James, Matthew and Kassie Doherty and great grandmother to Madison Rose. Rose was pre-deceased by her siblings Dominick, Carmen, John, Albert, Stella and Josephine and surviving her are her other siblings Michael, Mickey D'Alessandro and Nancy Cusick and husband Charles, and brother in-law Robert Doherty and wife Judy and sister -in-law Lorraine Abate, as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Thursday April 9th from 4-8 pm at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday April 10th at 11 am at St. Vincent's Church, 979 Avenue C in Bayonne with family and friends welcome to meet at the funeral home beginning at 9:30am. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Rose's memory to Autism New Jersey.
